Steven L. Anders is the Founder and Executive Director of Anders Community & Family Services, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Human Services, a Master of Public Administration (MPA), and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. Steven is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Anger Management Counselor, with extensive experience in providing high-quality mental health services to individuals, families, and communities.
With more than two decades of experience in human services, Steven is committed to delivering comprehensive, client-centered care rooted in evidence-based practices. He specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—two leading approaches proven to help individuals regulate emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and improve interpersonal relationships.
Steven’s therapeutic approach is interactive, solution-focused, and deeply compassionate. He incorporates a variety of methodologies to create personalized treatment plans that honor the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, or emotional dysregulation, Steven equips clients with the tools they need to overcome life’s challenges and achieve meaningful growth.
As a Certified Anger Management Specialist, he also offers structured programs designed to help clients identify triggers, respond thoughtfully, and communicate effectively. Tina Anders, the foundational pillar of Anders Community & Family Services (ACFS), exemplifies the fusion of heartfelt compassion and strategic leadership. A professional businesswoman with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a second degree in Theology, Tina brings over two decades of experience in nonprofit management, youth services, and addiction recovery support. She is also a certified AODA (Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse) counselor, dedicated to guiding youth and families toward healing and restoration.
Currently, Tina is completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with graduation anticipated in June 2025. Her academic journey underscores a lifelong commitment to advancing her ability to serve others through evidence-based mental health practices, trauma-informed care, and therapeutic excellence.
As a successful entrepreneur and program developer, Tina operates a thriving business in Milwaukee that provides life-changing support to at-risk youth and their families. Through ACFS, she has impacted countless lives, offering programs that focus on prevention, intervention, and empowerment.
In her role as a Skills Development Specialist (ISDE), Tina is known for her ability to build strong rapport with youth, identify underlying behavioral and emotional challenges, and implement structured strategies that promote resilience, responsibility, and respect. Her approach integrates clinical insight, spiritual grounding, and entrepreneurial innovation, making her an indispensable leader at ACFS.

Anders Community & Family Services is proud to welcome Jennela Gaston to our team as an Individual Skill Development & Enhancement (ISDE) Worker serving both youth and adults. With a distinguished background in the field of criminal justice and community supervision, Jennela brings a wealth of experience, professionalism, and compassion to her new role.
Jennela has served for many years as a Probation and Parole Agent-Senior with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, where she supervised justice-involved individuals, supported successful reintegration efforts, and maintained a strong focus on accountability and empowerment. Her leadership and case management skills have equipped her with the tools necessary to navigate complex family dynamics and provide structured, trauma-informed support.
